About the Role:
Our Vancouver-based real estate client is seeking a Power BI Consultant for a 3-month hybrid contract. As they continue to grow, they're looking to bring their business intelligence capabilities in-house to gain more control and flexibility over their reporting.
This role will focus on developing scalable, real-time Power BI dashboards using data from Yardi and ReStack. You'll work closely with internal teams to tailor the reports to their evolving needs, improve visualization quality, and ensure long-term reporting performance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Build and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports using data from Yardi, ReStack, and other internal sources.
• Customize report visuals, apply company branding, improve layout/design, remove unnecessary whitespace, etc.
• Translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions and offer guidance on feasibility.
• Implement scalable and maintainable solutions that can support increased data volumes over time.
• Set up data refresh schedules to enable real-time updates every 12-24 hours.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure dashboards align with operational and strategic goals.
• Document processes and support knowledge transfer to internal team members.

• Proven experience with Power BI development, including dashboard creation, data modeling, and DAX.
• Familiarity with Yardi data systems and/or similar real estate or property management software is highly preferred.
• Understanding of how ReStack or other Yardi-integrated tools work is a strong asset.
• Experience designing scalable, automated reporting solutions that support business growth.
• Ability to advise stakeholders, manage expectations, and translate business needs into clear reporting solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
