Department Overview

Business Information Management (BIM) at TD is part of a creative, enterprise-wide data and analytics ecosystem. Roles in BIM are highly professional and valued, specialized yet inter-connected and focused on making the availability of business information to designers, developers and decision-makers a priority, all with a united purpose to serve customers and continually build a better bank.

Job Requirements

What can you bring to TD? Share your most relevant experience, credentials and knowledge for this role, as well as these essential requirements and attributes:

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
  • Three (3) or more years relevant experience from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background
  • Sound conceptual knowledge in your area of specialty
  • Fluent in one or more programming languages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid knowledge of various data sources, tools and technologies used in preparing summaries/reports
  • Knowledge of competitor and market trends
  • Strong ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Expertise in using analytical software tools, MS Office, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
  • Proficient to work together and independently, communicate positively and professionally (both in speaking and writing), follow instructions/direction, and help building positive relationships across teams and functions
  • Act as a brand champion for our business area / function and TD, both internally and externally

Are you an experienced analytical thinker, at ease working on your own or driving forward the success of your team? If so, this role offers a hands-on and high-career growth opportunity to provide business information management support for a range of activities in data and analytics.

Enjoy partnering with and learning from experts? In this experienced professional role, you\'ll work within your team as well as lead projects or work streams within broader projects, to help design, develop and support key business information management solutions for TD.

As Business Information Management Analyst II, you will:
  • Focus on providing specialized business support, in your area of specialty
  • Lead projects or work streams within broader projects of moderate risk and be accountable for managing own work, while acting as contact point for raised issues and ongoing activities, processes and functional programs
  • Conduct a range of data analyses, demonstrating your experience with very large datasets and big data technologies; assessing business information-related data requirements aligned to business needs and for specific data platforms, applications systems and servers
  • Partner and collaborate with internal team and business and technology partners to elicit information / data requirements and articulate requirements
  • Resolve data / application issues and support the user community by helping them interpret data
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of data available from upstream sources and data within relevant platform / applications (e.g. through data profiling, data quality reporting tools, business metadata capture)
  • Define, build and manage data dictionary / catalogue for data platforms, systems, servers, applications
  • Gather, review, analyze, profile, validate and map system data warehouse to meet reporting needs
  • Run quality assurance reports and ensure metadata and data lineage is captured, compatible and maintained in compliance with data management tools and processes as well as enterprise data standards, policies and guidelines
  • Participate fully as a team member, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality and innovation and, ensure timely communication of issues/points of interest
