About the Role:




We are seeking a

Business Documentation Specialist

to be responsible for the development and maintenance of clear, accurate and user friendly documentation including standard operation procedures (SOP), and manuals for all critical business processes.


The incumbent will support the design and execution of content management practices, documents workflows, as well as maintain and organize CAAT's document repository. This role works collaboratively with various teams within CAAT for gathering information, technical writing and documentation, structuring content, and ensuring that documentation meets the needs of its intended audience.

As the Newest Member of our Team, You'll:



Develop, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and internal manuals to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with evolving business processes and systems. Support and maintain the design and implementation of business content management standards and practices to promote compliance and consistency. Translate complex pension policies, products, and regulations into clear, accessible language for a wide audience. Collaborate with subject matter experts across departments to gather information and ensure accurate and clear process documents and workflows are created. Analyze business processes and translate complex information into clear, step-by-step procedural documentation. Coordinate reviews, approvals, and peer feedback to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, accurate, and consistent documentation. Assist in the interpretation of system changes and ensure accurate and timely updated documentation. Engage stakeholders to validate the accuracy and relevance of content to ensure it is up to date. Evaluate the effectiveness of documentation and recommend improvements to enhance knowledge and user understanding.

To Succeed, You Bring:



Post secondary education specializing in Business, Communications, Finance or a related field Minimum of 3 years' experience in technical writing/process documentation Strong experience using Microsoft Office tools such as Visio and Word Knowledge and experience with Component Content Management Systems such as Madcap Flare or Adobe Experience Manager Guides. Experience developing and maintaining structured documentation using DITA XML Strong technical writing skills and understanding of best practices such as plain language, minimalism, accessibility, etc. Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to translate complex concepts into accessible language for a wide audience. Exceptional team player with the ability to collaborate cross functionally. An understanding of pension administration is an asset.
