The Opportunity!
Ram Iron & Metal is looking for an
Account Manager /Business Development Manager
to join our team
. You will be responsible for managing and growing our existing account portfolio within Ontario with the goal to achieve our sales objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain outstanding business partnerships with existing and potential clients
Identify and pursue new business opportunities via proactive outreach and relationship-building.
Continuous customer and supplier visits to achieve business goals
Apply subject expertise in evaluating business operations and processes
Identify new business opportunities through market analysis and competitor trends
Manage full sales cycle including monthly purchases, establishing customer relationships, managing expenses.
Account Administration: Generate monthly purchase orders, volume & revenue reports
Participate in weekly sales meeting to share market insights and prioritize actions
Participate and attend various industry and trade events
Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications/Education
Two plus (2+) years' work experience in Business Development or Account Management. Metal recycling industry an asset.
Proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Valid driver's license and active insurance vehicle policy
B.A., preferably in Business or Finance is an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to effectively communicate in English; read, write, comprehension
Critical thinking, analysis of facts, evidence and arguments in order to form a judgement
Ability to effectively problem solve, develop and implement solutions
Self-reliant and entrepreneurial, ability to complete assignments with minimal guidance
Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills
Ability to make formal and informal presentations in front of small audiences
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and cross-functional environment
