Frontage is a global Contract Research Company (CRO) with the head office located in Exton, Pennsylvania, USA. Frontage has 25 sites across USA, Canada, China and Italy. The Canadian operations include two sites - one located in Vancouver and the other based in Toronto. Frontage Vancouver (formerly BRI) has been in operation for more than 25 years with service offerings in regulated and non-regulated bioanalytical (small and large molecules analyses), drug metabolism & pharmacokinetics, and pharmacology. The operation in Vancouver is projected to grow significantly in the next few years, especially in anticipation of meeting the demands of biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the Pacific Northwest region.
Frontage is currently seeking a highly motivated business development representative to explore business opportunities with pharmaceutical, biotech, and clinical research organizations based in the Pacific Northwest region. This role requires exceptional oral and written communication skills, as well as a strong customer service mindset that will foster collaboration between various key stakeholders, including both internal and external customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate new leads that will result in customers for Frontage Vancouver.
Learn to utilize Sales Force to track all potential sales opportunities.
Record all customer sales related activities (including Change Orders, CDA, MSA, site visits, and meetings) in CRM (SALESFORCE) system.
Build long term trusted relationships with both new and existing customers.
Respond to new client requests.
Maintain general knowledge of all Frontage services for appropriate cross-sell opportunities.
Continued awareness of competitive activities, positioning and pricing, which includes specific reasons for awards and non-awards.
Analyze potential opportunities and develop sales plans for each target account. Develop in-depth knowledge of the customer organization.
Lead all client visits at Frontage Vancouver facility.
Coordinate with scientific and operations staff to present comprehensive proposals.
Handle follow-up detail related to the sale and drive completion of contractual documents.
Maintain high visibility within customer organization. Monitor customer satisfaction by regular communication with customer.
Contact potential clients through emails and cold calls to identify new business opportunities and o?er solutions.
Prepare, update, and analyze marketing content so that it can be utilized for print and web use.
Attend conferences and trade shows as required, speaking to subject matter experts on best practices and Frontage services and o?erings.
Skills & Quali?cations:
Completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree, ideally with a focus in Chemistry (Analytical and/or organic), Biochemistry, Biology, Toxicology, or a related field.
Previous experience in a customer service focused role is desirable, but not essential.
Excellent communication skills including oral and written communication.
Open to continual learning, coaching, and personal development.
As a brand ambassador you are con?dent with prospecting new leads using cold calling, emails, and trade shows, to generate new leads and build brand awareness.
Task oriented with a proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
