We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic outreach. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and experience in sales and marketing, particularly within B2B environments. Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable to effectively engage with diverse clients. Responsibilities
Originate new business from prospecting & qualifying new customers in North America through self-initiated market research
Assist in preparing new RFQs using quoting software delivering formal quote to customers within 24 hours. As part of the RFQ process ensure raw material availability & price is confirmed to meet due dates.
Collaborate with the estimating team ensuring profitability targets are achieved while also remaining competitive to market pricing.
Ensure all customer drawings, DXF files, PDF files, part files, STEP files etc. are obtained from the customer as part of the RFQ process and accompany the purchase order to ensure accurate order entry can be completed.
Work with the production team to acquire an order completion date and ensure customer expectations are managed at order commencement (noting, typical lead time of 2 weeks unless otherwise advised).
Maintain accurate & organized records including sales call activity reports, manage sales estimating order flow efficiently & effectively
Participate and operate in trade shows, conventions as necessary and expected 2-4 times / year
Skills
Proven experience in B2B sales, inside sales, or technology sales with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Excellent negotiation and communication skills in both English and Spanish
Strong understanding of marketing strategies and telemarketing techniques
Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar tools
Ability to conduct technical sales presentations and explain complex solutions clearly
Customer service orientation with the ability to build lasting client relationships
Effective business development skills with a proactive approach to prospecting and closing deals
Exceptional interpersonal skills combined with strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
