Business Development Representative

Job Description

Our Story

About Cedience

Cedience is building the leading platform for regulatory research and intelligence. Our solution helps pharmaceutical, and biotech organizations navigate complex global regulations with speed, accuracy, and confidence.

We're already working with 8 of the top 20 global pharma companies and a growing number of innovative biotech firms. With strong early traction, we're now ready to scale -- and we're building out our sales team starting with a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support pipeline growth.

The Role

As a BDR at Cedience, you'll be on the front lines of our sales motion. Your focus will be on outbound prospecting and early-stage engagement: identifying potential customers, reaching out through multiple channels, and securing intro calls and product demos.

This role is ideal for someone who is hungry, resilient, and excited to learn the ropes of enterprise SaaS sales in a fast-paced startup environment.

What You'll Do

Outbound Prospecting

: Drive cold outreach through phone calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn DMs.

Follow-Ups

: Run routine follow-ups to ensure prospects stay engaged until they're ready for a call or demo.

Lead Qualification

: Research accounts, identify decision-makers, and ensure opportunities are a fit.

Meeting Scheduling

: Book intro calls, discovery sessions, and product demos for the sales team.

CRM Discipline

: Log all activities in HubSpot, track prospect engagement, and ensure data quality.

Collaboration

: Work closely with the rest of the team to hand off qualified leads and refine messaging.

Learning & Feedback

: Share market insights, prospect objections, and feedback from outreach to help Cedience continuously improve.

What We're Looking For

Early-career sales talent (1-3 years of experience in B2B sales development, lead generation, or inside sales).

Strong communication skills -- comfortable cold calling and engaging senior stakeholders.

Resilient and persistent -- thrives on outbound activity and doesn't shy away from rejection.

Curious and coachable -- eager to learn from experienced sales leaders.

Organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined in CRM usage.

Interest in SaaS, startups, or the life sciences industry is a strong plus.

Why Join Cedience

Impact

: Help build the pipeline for a company already trusted by top pharma and biotech.

Experience

: Gain hands-on enterprise SaaS sales experience with global customers.

Mentorship:

Work directly with our cofounder/CEO, learning the craft of sales from the ground up.

Growth:

Clear path to advance into a full-cycle Account Executive role as Cedience scales.

Mission:
