Business Development Representative - Municipal Solutions
About the Role:
Are you passionate about driving innovation in public service? AIVIA Design and Technology Engineering is actively seeking a motivated and people-oriented Business Development Representative to help expand our impact across municipal organizations across Canada. This is a unique opportunity to connect emerging technology with local governments to enhance how communities operate and serve their citizens.
In this role, your mission will be to engage key decision-makers--mayors, CAOs, department heads--and introduce them to our transformative digital platforms.
This position is ideal for someone who understands the nuances of the municipal sector, thrives on meaningful engagement, and is driven to make a lasting civic impact through technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and connect with municipal leaders and stakeholders across North America.
Making numerous calls a day to reach out and identify leads in the municipal sector.
Set up product demos that clearly communicate the value of our platform for local government operations.
Leverage a strong understanding of emerging technology to tailor solutions that meet the specific needs of towns, cities, and regional governments.
Represent AIVIA at industry conferences, events, and on-site municipal meetings (travel may be required).
Collaborate closely with our development and marketing teams to continuously improve outreach and messaging tailored to the public sector.
Who You Are:
Experienced in B2B sales or public sector engagement--experience with municipalities is a strong asset.
Stellar phone etiquette - people get your vibe when they talk to you
An excellent communicator, both verbal and written
Technologically savvy and excited about how tech can transform municipal services.
Self-driven, outgoing, and persistent--you're not afraid to pick up the phone or knock on doors.
Able to travel when necessary to meet with municipal clients in person or attend events.
