Job Summary:
The Business Development Outside Sales Representative leads and coordinates Burroughs? cross-border activities for account sales and new business development functions in Canada in accordance with service capabilities, practices and sales quota plans. This position is responsible for achieving sales and company objectives though providing a consultative sales approach and through a team selling approach with supervisors and Customer Success colleagues. Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate, plan and oversee sales activities within assigned territory and markets, including forecasting, reporting and new business pipeline development.
  • Establish and develop new accounts that have had no prior business relationships.
  • Develop customer specific value propositions, business cases, and ROI.
  • Working with customers and prospects to solve their business issues and drive business outcomes.
  • Manage ongoing relationships in existing accounts as assigned while increasing wallet share through a services consulting methodology.
  • Travel to customer locations and sell complete portfolio to achieve the assigned goal(s).
  • Communicate effectively in a technical manner with C-Level executives.
  • Maintain accurate record of leads, prospects and manage CRM on a weekly basis.
  • Participate and lead technical customer discussions with high-level executives around branch transformation, cash automation and other value-added services.
  • Possess at all times a customer-oriented culture and maintain a professional company image at all times.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Advanced understanding of services sales cycles.
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside of the box.
  • Problem Solving/Analysis.
  • High level oral and written communication skills and act as trusted advisor
  • High level presentation skills in front customer and internal stake holders.
  • Comfortable working in groups with internal and external teams to execute business outcomes for our clients.
  • Negotiation, conflict management & customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with an aptitude to successfully multi-task (organized)
  • MS Office ? Word, PowerPoint & Excel mid-level skills
  • Bi-lingual ? English and French preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • This role requires variable degree of travel, as customer-facing meetings and schedules require.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment or remotely from a home office, where the use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop and cell phone is required.
Education and Experience:
  • At least 3+ years in Services or B2B technology sales; selling to Retailers and Financial Institutions is preferred.
  • Post-Secondary diploma / degree or relevant experience is required for this role
  • Proficient in sales offerings including hardware, project and field service models
