The Role

The Wireless Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for creating and executing the wireless business strategy, actively building & maintaining key customer relationships with new and existing clients. This individual will lead and oversee a team of Wireless Account Executives and work with staff from various departments to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue. This role can be based out of the Saskatoon or Regina area.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retain business.
• Actively contact customers within a defined market or geographic area to ensure continual opportunities for business growth.
• Conduct research to identify potential clients and identify business opportunities, generate warm leads, and seek out partnerships.
• Negotiate and close business deals.
• Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a courteous, professional manner.
• Build and retain an effective team of sales representatives.
• Set sales targets and provide sales support by coaching and motivating the team to achieve sales goals.
• Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals and meet targets.
• Be knowledgeable, current and stay up to date on all product, promotional, pricing and service offerings.
• Collaborate with internal sales partner on non-wireless connected technology solutions, and develop strategies and plans to cross sell those products to our wireless business customers.
• Lead/create Request for Proposal (RFP) responses to potential/existing clients.
• Attend industry functions and provide feedback and information on emerging trends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of sales and management experience in a related industry; wireless and communications experience is highly desired and preferred.
• Post secondary degree or diploma in business, marketing, economics, or a related field or a blend of relevant experience in sales, management, and business development.
• Proven understanding of the wireless and communication technology industry and associated products and services.
• Experience coordinating, composing and drafting sales proposals, and RFP responses for various customers based on size and scope.
• Experience with sales funnel and pipeline management, and CRM software and principles.
• Excellent organizational, strategic, planning, and implementation skills.
• Ability to create realistic schedules and meet deadlines under stress and interruptions.
• High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, and facts.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on business operations and processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
• Ability to respond appropriately in high-pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor.
• A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Knowledge of iQmetrix is an asset.
• A valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Valid passport for business travel as required.
