We are seeking a motivated and relationship-oriented Outside Sales Representative to join our dedicated team. This role offers regular exposure to lawyers, accountants, economists, and insurance professionals -- ideal for candidates who thrive in a dynamic, professional environment.
Position Overview
As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, engaging prospective clients, and nurturing long-term relationships that drive sustained growth. This is a hybrid position involving both in-office collaboration and on-the-road relationship management. The role includes a base salary plus commission, rewarding performance and success in generating new business.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with personal injury and litigation firms, focusing on IRB (Income Replacement Benefit) assessments and Loss of Income Reports (Tort)
Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with lawyers, paralegals, and other legal professionals.
Represent Great Oak at industry events, conferences, and Lunch & Learns
Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience from introduction to engagement.
Track leads, outreach efforts, and activity metrics using a CRM platform.
Collaborate with leadership to develop regional growth strategies and marketing initiatives.
Travel as needed within Canada to meet clients, attend events, and strengthen relationships.
Qualifications
3-7 years of sales experience in Civil litigation or insurance, e.g., PI law clerk/paralegal, IME or structured settlement rep, record retrieval account manager, or AB adjuster
Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or professional services (experience in legal, financial, or consulting sectors is a strong asset).
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Experience using CRM tools to manage outreach and pipeline development.
Professional demeanor and a client-service mindset.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Willingness to travel within Canada as required.
Post-secondary education in business, marketing, communications, or finance preferred
