region, we are looking for a motivated and experienced
Business Development Manager
to join our team and lead our growth in this key market.
Your Mission
In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strong business relationships, and driving revenue growth across the Ottawa region. You will represent S2 at the forefront--connecting with clients in commercial, residential, government, retail, and event sectors--to offer customized, high-quality security solutions.
Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking.
Prospect and develop new business across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario
Build strong relationships with property managers, facility directors, hotel operators, and other B2B stakeholders
Respond to inquiries, referrals, and RFPs with compelling proposals and timely follow-up
Lead contract negotiations and pricing strategies aligned with business goals
Work with operations and HR to ensure smooth onboarding and service transitions
Represent S2 at industry events, tradeshows, and networking functions
Keep accurate records of outreach and pipeline activity using CRM tools (Zoho Bigin, Apollo, etc.)
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
Prepare presentations and proposals for potential clients, showcasing our offerings and value proposition.
Qualifications
3-5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in security, facility services, or staffing
Experience or understanding of Ontario's
Private Security and Investigative Services Act (PSISA)
is a strong asset
Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven
Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Strong negotiation skills with a focus on win-win outcomes for both the company and clients.
Familiarity with market analysis techniques to identify growth opportunities.
Nice to Have:
Previous experience in private security or protective services
Existing network in Ottawa's property management, construction, or event sectors
Membership in ASIS, CPP certification, or CPTED training
