We're looking for an organized and outgoing Business Development Manager to join the Alt Hotel Ottawa, and to take charge of group sales and events development. With strong analytical abilities and sales skills, this resourceful and personable individual will develop creative strategies and deploy sales tactics, lead prospecting and negotiations, and participate in a range of efforts tied to the organization's success.
WHAT YOU'D DO
Draft and negotiate proposals for groups and event bookings
Manage account performance and develop accounts with potential
Canvass through prospecting, calls for tender, events, and sales blitzes
Analyze reports, trends, and current knowledge
Develop tactics that maximize occupancy and revenue for both guest rooms as well as event spaces
Collect information on the market and the competition
Evaluate and implement long-term strategies and objectives
Collaborate as part of our national Business Development team
Represent Germain Hotels at trade fairs and during sales campaigns
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Solid sales skills and thorough knowledge of the market
3-5 years in hotel management, or similar experience
College diploma or university degree an asset
Organization and time management skills, attention to detail
Autonomy and ability to self-direct
Creativity, adaptability, and eagerness to innovate
Friendly personality and great communication skills
Excellent English, written and spoken
French is an asset
