Summary



Unity Connected Solutions is hiring a Business Development Manager to create and qualify pipelines for nurse call, access control, UCaaS, and other low-voltage solutions. You'll run targeted outbound, manage inbound, activate partners, and coordinate with internal teams to move prospects from first conversation to opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Market & Account Strategy



Define and maintain segmentation, conduct first-pass discovery calls Build named account plans; map buying groups and track triggers. Run multi-channel sequences (phone, email, LinkedIn) with daily activity and weekly conversion goals. Triage inbound leads: monitor Contact Us and inbound calls; respond same-day (?2 business hours during office hours) and convert to qualified meetings.

Partner & Channel Programs



Co-sell and co-market with manufacturer partners. Own PRM/MDF motions: activity plans, deal registration, claims, proof of performance, and ROI tracking. Plan and host joint webinars/lunch-and-learns with pre-/post-event cadences that book meetings.

RFP Intelligence & Targeted Submissions



Monitor RFP portals; maintain calendars and early engagement. Run Go/No-Go; when "Go," coordinate compliant submissions with Sales/Delivery (scope, SOW, pricing guardrails, references). Where possible, pre-shape opportunities via discovery and partner alignment.

Events & Community (ROI-Focused)



Execute select trade shows, micro-events, and roundtables; manage logistics, onsite lead capture, and post-event follow-up sequences that convert to meetings. Support flagship customer/partner events (agendas, vendor sponsorships, venue, speakers) with meeting targets.

Data, Tools & Reporting



Maintain Freshworks CRM and ERP data (contacts, roles, notes, next steps, tasks). Use Apollo for list building, enrichment, and sequencing; coordinate with Five9 for marketing automation and contact database management. Maintain sales collateral (decks, one-pagers, case studies) tied to outcomes and proof points--polish vs. reinvent.

Qualifications

5+ years in Business Development / BDR Manager / Growth role in B2B tech, telecom/systems integration, security, communication infrastructure, or healthcare technology. Proven track record creating qualified meetings and sourced pipeline with measurable conversion to opportunities. Hands-on with CRM/automation (Freshworks/Five9 or equivalents), prospecting (Apollo), and PRM/MDF portals (Avaya/Microsoft). Familiarity with Canadian public-sector/healthcare procurement rhythms and RFP portals. Excellent phone presence and concise, value-led writing; strong discovery and hand-off discipline. Organized, deadline-driven; builds processes that scale across teams.

Nice to Have



Experience selling into senior-living/healthcare, municipalities, or multi-site enterprises. Light analytics/design chops (UTMs, campaign reporting; PowerPoint/Canva polish).

Working Conditions



Hybrid office/client-site model; occasional evening webinar or event support.
Travel for client meetings, partner sessions, and selected events

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
