We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing custom printing company in Hamilton, Ontario. This is a hands-on, client-focused role ideal for a relationship-driven sales professional who excels at closing deals and building long-term client value. You will play a key role in driving business growth by engaging with clients, identifying opportunities, and providing tailored solutions from our wide range of printing and decoration services.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and acquire new clients in the promotional marketing, corporate merchandise, and apparel sectors.
Generate leads through outbound prospecting, networking, and industry events.
Schedule meetings for senior management with potential clients to facilitate deal closures.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to increase repeat business.
Understand client needs and propose customized solutions from our product and service offerings.
Develop and execute sales plans to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools and consistent follow-up.
Attend trade shows, expos, and industry networking events to promote services.
Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and new product opportunities.
Collaborate with production, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
Provide feedback to internal teams to improve offerings and client experience.
Qualifications
6-8 years of proven experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in printing, promotional products, or apparel manufacturing.
Strong understanding of sales cycles, prospecting techniques, and account management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple opportunities while delivering exceptional customer service.
Comfortable using CRM tools, prospecting platforms, and remote communication tools.
Self-motivated, goal-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
Availability for local and out-of-state travel to meet clients and attend events.
Preferred Education/Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
Sales certifications such as HubSpot Sales, Sandler, or similar are a plus.
Additional training in account management, CRM systems, or consultative selling is advantageous.
Fluent in English.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year.
