We are hiring a
Business Development Manager (BDM)
with
mandatory cybersecurity experience
who can confidently engage clients, run discovery meetings, and close high-value cybersecurity projects.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, conducting meetings with prospects, managing the full sales cycle, and closing deals for PlutoSec's cybersecurity services. This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical understanding, communication skills, and experience in cybersecurity sales.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and target new business opportunities across Canada, the US, UK, EU, and MENA.
Conduct
client meetings, demos, and discovery sessions
to understand their security needs.
Present PlutoSec's services clearly, including penetration testing, cloud security, vulnerability assessments, MDR/XDR, SOC, and consulting.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, partners, and current clients.
Prepare proposals, pricing, commercial offers, SOWs (Statements of Work), and NDAs.
Lead the full sales cycle from lead generation to
deal closing
.
Follow up consistently using CRM tools and maintain pipeline visibility.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate scoping and solution design.
Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Represent PlutoSec in online meetings, webinars, vendor discussions, and industry events.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Cybersecurity experience is mandatory
(penetration testing, IT security, SOC, MSSP, cloud security, or similar).
Proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or client relations.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts (penetration testing, SOC, cloud security, compliance).
Ability to confidently conduct client meetings and close deals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Experience drafting proposals, SOWs, and pricing for cybersecurity services.
Strong English writing skills for professional emails and documentation.
Ability to work independently and hit monthly sales targets.
Nice to Have
Experience in MSP/MSSP, IT consulting, SaaS, or enterprise sales.
Certifications like Security+, CCSP, Sales Navigator training, or business development certifications.
Existing network in finance, SaaS, enterprise IT, or corporate sectors.
Experience working with Clutch, G2, Sortlist, Upwork, or partnership ecosystems.
