Business Development Manager

to drive growth across the Calgary & Edmonton regions. In this exciting role, you'll foster partnerships with healthcare, real estate, and corporate networks, bringing seniors and their families closer to the supportive community they deserve. What You'll Do

Build, nurture, and grow a robust network of referral partners across industries. Proactively engage new contacts through calls, emails, presentations, and community events. Promote Chartwell's mission and help families discover the benefits of retirement living. Collaborate with Retirement Living Consultants to maximize outreach and drive move-ins. Source and evaluate sponsorship and partnership opportunities aligned with Chartwell's values. Maintain a strong pipeline in the CRM (Yardi) with detailed tracking of contacts and opportunities. Deliver engaging presentations to community groups, healthcare professionals, and corporate audiences. Identify key decision-makers, research organizations, and align Chartwell's services with community needs. Share progress and insights in weekly leadership meetings to align on goals. Actively practice Chartwell's RESPECT values in all interactions.

What You'll Bring

3-5 years of proven success in business development, ideally in senior living, healthcare, real estate, or hospitality. Post-secondary education in business, marketing, healthcare, or a related field. Experience in retirement living preferably in sales and/or marketing strongly preferred A well-established network in the Toronto, Peel, or Halton area is highly desirable. Exceptional communication skills -- you're a natural at building relationships, networking, and presenting. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities; you thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Proficiency with CRM tools (Yardi preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle. Flexibility to attend events on evenings or weekends as needed. A genuine passion for supporting older adults and their families in finding the right living options.

Additional Requirements

Must live within commuting distance to Calgary or Edmonton. Must possess flexibility to participate in evenings and weekend events and functions. Valid provincial driver's license required as is access to a vehicle. Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Persons Check.
