Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team in the US. This pivotal role will drive growth by identifying new business opportunities and fostering relationships that align with our mission of delivering high-quality food products globally.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets. Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities in retail, wholesale, foodservice, and international markets. Manage and grow relationships with key accounts, distributors, and partners. Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activity. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and business terms with customers and partners. Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product development, operations) to deliver tailored solutions for customers. Prepare business proposals, presentations, and sales reports for senior management. Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to represent Dan D Foods. Track and analyze sales performance and adjust strategies as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is an asset). 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management, ideally within the food industry. Strong network and experience with Canadian retailers (Loblaws, Sobeys, Save-On-Foods, Costco, etc.) is highly desirable. Proven ability to drive sales growth and manage customer relationships at a senior level. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify market opportunities. Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel as required.
