Meet Fresh Prep \xe2\x80\x94 Western Canada\xe2\x80\x99s most convenient and sustainable meal kit delivery service.


As a certified B Corporation, we make convenient eating healthy and sustainable for the communities we operate in. We source quality local ingredients whenever possible, and deliver in reusable, recyclable and compostable packaging. We offer 10 chef-created meal kit recipes each week, with options for many lifestyles and preferences including vegetarian and vegan.

Fresh Prep has a PAID business development and event internship available immediately for people with an interest in learning:

• communication and sales skills
• 
  brand representation & marketing skills
• 
  team building and leadership skills
• and other general business practices

This is a 3-month internship from June 5 to September 1 (13 weeks). You must be local to the Lower Mainland and able to represent Fresh Prep at events. This is not your typical 9-5; every week will look different, and some weeks will require you to work evenings and weekends.Some travel may be required. This position may include use of a company vehicle.

Position hours: Full-time, 35 hours/week
Compensation: $18/hour + commissions based on sign ups, bi-weekly pay

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be working hands-on with the rest of our Marketing team to learn the skills you need to be successful in a business environment and not making coffee. Due to client restrictions, this internship is only available to people who are over 18, eligible to work in Canada, and comfortable working in person.

What You Will Be Doing :

• 
  
  Supporting the Fresh Prep Marketing team with events and community-based initiatives.
• 
  Leading brand ambassadors to achieve summer signups, sales goals and other KPIs.
• 
  Traveling to restaurants, businesses and retail outlets in the Lower Mainland and potentially Vancouver Island to set up point-of-sale materials driving brand awareness and offering promotions.
• 
  Managing field events, including building displays, ensuring all merchandising tools and promotional materials are leveraged to maximize impact.
• 
  Developing your sales and industry knowledge.

Who We Are Looking For:

In this entry-level role, you will gain exposure and experience in a field sales environment for Western Canada\xe2\x80\x99s most loved meal kit delivery service. You\xe2\x80\x99ll have the opportunity to build community relationships, hone your sales and marketing skills, network with industry professionals, set up displays, and attend events supporting Fresh Prep\xe2\x80\x99s brand awareness and sign up goals.

Qualifications/Skills:

• 
  
  Current enrollment in an applied diploma or bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree program is considered an asset.
• 
  Must possess a valid class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license or better with a clean driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract record. Access to a vehicle is a bonus.
• 
  Ability to take direction while also possessing resilient problem-solving skills.
• 
  Must enjoy working independently and in a team environment.
• 
  Superior time management skills, coupled with the ability to organize and prioritize.
• 
  Previous customer service, merchandising, hospitality industry or sales experience.
• 
  Outgoing personality - striking up a conversation with anyone, anywhere is second nature to you.
