About the Opportunity



Our client, a leader in earth sciences and drilling solutions, is seeking a

Business Development Consultant

to drive revenue growth and manage key accounts within the Environmental, Geotechnical, and Multi-Disciplinary Consultant sectors. This role is a balance of

70% new business development

and

30% account management

, requiring a proactive, sales-driven individual who thrives in a technical sales environment.

Key Responsibilities



Own and grow total territory sales for assigned accounts. Identify and acquire new business opportunities while expanding existing customer wallet share. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan, tracking key performance indicators. Manage the entire customer lifecycle from prospecting to retention. Maintain expert-level knowledge of industry trends and competitor activity. Prepare accurate sales forecasts, quotes, and business reviews. Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to strengthen relationships and generate leads. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and timely project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience



3+ years of full-cycle B2B sales experience, preferably in

mining, drilling, or environmental consulting

industries. Strong understanding of technical sales processes, ideally with experience in

Geotechnical, Environmental, HDD, or Diamond-Core markets

. Professional sales training (e.g., Sandler, SPIN, Miller Heiman) is an asset. Excellent time management and ability to prioritize multiple projects. High energy, self-motivated, and results-driven personality. Effective communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills. Comfortable with CRM systems and proficient in Microsoft Office.

Compensation & Benefits



Base Salary:

$70,000 - $80,000

Commission:

On-target earnings of $105K-$110K

Vacation:

3 weeks per year

Retirement Plan:

RRSP matching (3% after 2 years, increasing up to 6%)
