Job Overview:
We are looking for a Business Development Assistant to support business growth, manage referral relationships, and coordinate outreach efforts. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive individual with strong communication skills who wants to gain experience in business development within the medical, optometry, and cosmetic industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Relationship Management
Support outreach efforts to optometrists, medical professionals, and cosmetic specialists to strengthen referral networks.
Assist in managing and tracking partnerships, including follow-ups and ongoing communication.
Maintain and update contact databases and referral lists to ensure efficient tracking of business relationships.
Marketing & Outreach Support
Help develop and distribute marketing materials, presentations, and promotional content to referral sources.
Assist in coordinating business development events, networking initiatives, and community outreach.
Provide support for social media, website updates, and email campaigns as needed.
Operational & Administrative Support
Schedule and organize meetings, presentations, and follow-ups with business partners and internal teams.
Maintain records of business development activities, tracking key metrics and outcomes.
Assist in report preparation, market research, and data entry to support business strategies.
Monitor internal patient journeys and. new initiative roll outs
Tracking & Reporting
Monitor and report on referral trends, business opportunities, and lead conversion rates.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports on business development activities for review.
Ensure CRM data is accurate and updated regularly.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or relevant experience).
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized with excellent time management and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in business development, marketing, healthcare, or cosmetics is an asset.
Must be able to have access to a reliable vehicle.
