Hostmost is a leading provider of marine navigation and communication solutions, servicing the global shipping industry with trusted technologies and tailored service. We're expanding our presence in British Columbia and are seeking a dynamic,

Business Development Associate

to help grow our reach within the region's vibrant local marine community.

In this role, you'll be the bridge between our cutting-edge marine solutions and the unique needs of local commercial operators -- tugboat companies, ferry services, fishing fleets, and other small-to-mid-sized vessels. Based in our Burnaby office and working closely with our senior sales and technical teams, you'll identify new opportunities, build lasting relationships, and promote trusted brands of marine electronics and communication systems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Engaging with local marine operators across BC to understand their business needs Promoting navigation and communication equipment from leading industry brands Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, including tug, ferry, and workboat operators Collaborating with internal teams to deliver effective solutions and after-sales support Attending industry events and customer visits throughout the region
Qualifications:

Background or hands-on experience in the marine industry (e.g., sailing, working on vessels, fishing, or similar) Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients Familiarity with major marine electronics brands is a strong asset Self-starter mentality with a passion for the marine sector Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Canada

Schedule:

35 hours per week On-site role in our Burnaby office

Pay: $45,000.00-$53,000.00 per year
