We specialize in helping importers and exporters navigate complex trade regulations with speed, compliance, and confidence. As we expand our reach, we are looking for a driven Business Development Associate to join our team and play a pivotal role in our continued growth.
Duties
You will be responsible for generating new business, building relationships, and ensuring client success from first contact to long-term partnership. Specifically, you will:
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
Consistently achieve revenue and gross margin targets through a proactive selling strategy on behalf of Green Light Customs Broker Ltd.
Develop high-value relationships with key contacts in existing accounts to grow sales.
Research, qualify, negotiate, and present category solutions to acquire new business.
Prospect and pursue new B2B customer opportunities with a hunter mentality.
Lead seamless implementation of newly acquired business, including account setup, logistics coordination, and post-sale support.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure solutions deliver as promised, resolving issues and driving client satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of all opportunities and client activity using CRM tools.
Prepare regular reports on business development activities and outcomes.
Attend industry events and networking functions to promote the company's offerings.
Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Proven track record in new business development, including cold calling, discovery meetings, solution presentations, and successful implementation
Strong analytical skills to assess market opportunities and client needs.
Proven track record in sales or business development, preferably in a related industry.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong negotiation skills with a results-oriented mindset.
