Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst to join a leading Banking/Financial client. The ideal candidate will support data-centric projects within a capital markets or wealth management environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, document, and deliver business-critical data solutions.
Job Title: Business Data Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON
Must-Haves:
5-10 years as a Business Data Analyst (preferably in Life Insurance / Wealth Management)
Strong experience with Azure Data Tools (Data Factory, Data Studio, Data Lake Storage, Synapse Analytics)
Complex SQL query writing skills
Experience in Databricks and ETL processes
Exposure to trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg Polar Lake, SimCorp, Charles River, Calypso)
Proven ability to deliver clear documentation and communicate effectively at all levels
The role focuses on data integration, master data management, warehousing, and reporting, playing a key part in transforming business needs into actionable data-driven insights.
