THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Services & Operations, the Business & Data Analyst, will be a key member of GSC's Pharmacy Operations team. The successful candidate will leverage data analytics and visualization to drive business insights that will strengthen the company's productivity, efficiency, quality controls, customer service and financial results. The position supports key pharmacy line of businesses in both Digital and Specialty streams cross data and predictive analytics.
Work as part of the Pharmacy Operations team, with the opportunity to engage and interact with all functional areas of the organization.
Work with operational leaders of the Pharmacy Operations team to assist in defining business needs and delivering viable solutions
Assist and liaise with multiple departments during planning, implementation, and completion of new or existing pharmacy initiatives.
Produce insights in a manner that business users can clearly understand.
Communicate results and educate others through clear reports and presentations.
Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders.
Stay abreast of analytics and business intelligence trends.
Work collaboratively with other data professionals, engineers, architects, and analysts within the business to gather requirements and build solutions for data concepts that fuel a host of analytic models.
Support data management strategies and initiatives that will meet the long-term data needs of the organization-
Pharmaceutical Partners Reporting & Analytics -
Leads development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of reporting & other analytical offerings to support various operational needs.
Quantitative results of one-off analytics work to support various senior decision making.
Lead ongoing and/or ad-hoc Specialty & Digital Pharmacy requests to strengthen and differentiate Pharmacy strategies and services.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights in pharmacy operations data.
Design and implement automation of reports and creation of dashboards for the Pharmacy product and drug benefits administration team.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
University degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, engineering, pharmacy, or other health related field. Masters Degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in an analytics-driven role, problem solving and developing data stores and providing data access for business users.
Curiosity, self-motivation, and strong sense of accountability and ownership of the processes.
Competencies in both pharmaceutical and analytics domains preferred.
Ability to process and manipulate large amounts of data.
Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
Advanced Excel skills.
Creative thinking and innovation in the field of data analytics.
Ability to transform and curate data from multiple sources for the purpose of visualization and advanced analytics.
Knowledge of SQL and R, familiarity with databases (e.g., Oracle) and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau)
Client focused and proven relationship building skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated facilitation and consultative skills.
NICE TO HAVE:
Understanding of group benefits, insurance industry, and health and benefits administration.
Demonstrated success in managing client issues and relationships, some experience in growing relationships with current clients.
