Northern Credit Union is searching for a Business Banking Associate that will be responsible supporting the development of deep relationships with business members and growing the book of business by developing and promoting commercial lending services within Northern's footprint. We want people who are able to look beyond the raw numbers and see the great business people who make this region grow. The incumbent is expected to take a member-centric approach to balancing the needs of the member with the growth needs of the organization.Reporting to the Director of Business Relationship Banking, the Business Banking Associate will be able to spot and action partner referrals, as well as provide analyses and recommendations on the various aspects of their individual portfolio. The successful candidate will be required to stay abreast of industry changes and trends that affect their portfolio.Preferred candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• University degree in Business or related field is preferred;

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience;

• Strong time management skills and an intimate knowledge of financial statements;

• Proven ability to develop and maintain a network of contacts, both inside and outside the organization;

• Familiarity of the region, its culture and lifestyle, and a focus on small and medium-sized business would be an asset.
