Summary of day-to-day responsibilities:

  • This role does require ability to configure business processes within Workday - ideally in the HCM, Compensation and Security space. Knowledge of Workday Hierarchies and Organizations are nice to have.
Job description:
  • Responsible for intake of projects and major initiatives
  • Responsible for the documentation of all business owned artifacts that are required for projects and major initiatives as defined by the bank's Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) methodology
  • Responsible for business process documentation for all business applications owned/managed
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations process management to ensure consistency, and delivery according to established SLA
  • Responsible for all Business Acceptance Test (BAT) documentation that is required for all projects and major initiatives as defined by the bank's project delivery methodology
  • Work closely with the Test Lead to ensure common testing standards and practices are followed and adhered to
  • Responsible for the execution of all BAT testing for projects and/or release maintenances
  • Responsible for working with Technology to establish a partnership and ensure all business requirements and Data Governance requirements are met
  • Provide support on deployment and change management for initiatives relating to applications owned / managed
  • Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Provide feedback and thoughts on possible solutions to issues/risks arising throughout the life cycle of a project, including adherence to enterprise application / data lifecycle practices
  • Identify and escalate risks that could impact project timelines or the quality of the deliverables to project manager and business owner, provide options and recommendations
  • Act as an escalation point for application and operation issues both directly and through internal/external business partners (including external vendors)
  • May provide project management support to various extents
  • Act as a decision maker on projects--responsible for getting input from the appropriate SMEs in order to make decisions
  • Support the development of business cases including benefits identification
  • Support and/or implement solutions that mitigate risk and maximizes the availability of service, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Keep others informed and up to date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities Internal
  • Expert level professional role requiring in-depth knowledge / expertise in own domain / field of specialty and working knowledge of broader related areas
  • Integrates the broader organizational context into advice and solutions within own area
  • Expert knowledge of WD application including system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules.
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems requiring analysis to solve complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables, including consultation with multiple stakeholders
  • Uses advanced methods to contribute to new solutions and recommend standards against which others will operate
  • Leads projects of moderately to complex risks and resource requirements; may lead end -to-end processes of functional programs
  • Coordinates and prioritizes multiple initiatives
  • Subject matter expert and consults with clients and/or project teams and may be involved in assessments of potential projects
  • Works independently as the senior lead and guides other within area of expertise
Must-Have Hard Skills:
  • Workday configuration experience. Participate in complex applications and systems development
  • Requirement elicitation experience. impart your subject matter expertise.
  • Give solution options. bolster stakeholder support.
  • Ability to review technical deliverables for quality throughout detailed design and development phase, identify gaps or redesign as needed.
