The Business Analyst works with subject matter experts to develop, and help implement strategic (people, process, or technology) for improved efficiency and productivity. Serving as a conduit between business, external vendors, and IT through requirements.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Lead interviews with subject matter experts to understand what problems (people, process, or technology) are needing to be solved;
  • Identify key performance indicators or business objectives;
  • Ability to break down a business issue into component parts;
  • Problem solving skills with ability to solve complex or ambiguous business problems;
  • Ability to define business dependencies and interrelationships;
  • Develop current and to be business process workflows & requirements for process solutions;
  • Provide functional design specifications for new development and major enhancements;
  • Analyzes required information and data for recommendations;
  • Develop level-of-effort for resources and project timeline;
  • Document test cases for UAT testing;
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects;
  • Coordinate development team and SME resources activities;
  • Develop and lead user acceptance testing activities;
  • Develop level-of-effort for resources and project timeline;
  • Ensure that results meet defined customer expectations and adhere to company standards and strategies.
The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:
  • A post-secondary Certificate / A Degree / A Diploma;
  • Fundamental in organization change management;
  • Proven analytical abilities & strong project management skills;
  • Leadership skills and analytical skills;
  • Strong verbal and written communication;
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion;
  • Practical experience generating process documentation and reports;
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio;
  • Experience in the agriculture industry would be an asset;
  • Has or working towards Business Analyst Diploma or certification;
  • Experience with project and user-testing management.
