The Business Analyst supports business and technology teams by analyzing needs, gathering requirements, and documenting functional processes to enable effective solution design. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, the analyst develops key deliverables such as use cases, process models, impact analyses, and implementation strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio is essential to support documentation efforts, and experience in public sector environments such as the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) is considered a strong asset. The analyst is also expected to liaise with both technical and non-technical teams, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment between business objectives and solution capabilities.
Required Qualifications
Diploma in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., IIBA ECBA or CBAP)
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst
Experience producing deliverables using Microsoft Office and Visio
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred: Experience with BC's Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI)
Preferred: Familiarity with government processes and standards
