Business Analyst, ValidationPermanent Full-TimeJob Band: 4The Business Analyst performs an important role in OMDxe2x80x99s Certification Program, responsible for validating and ensuring the ongoing compliance of vendorsxe2x80x99 products and services (Offerings) as a condition of OMD Certification or as part of providing validation as a service to other organizations and jurisdictions. This position involves systematically reviewing and evaluating various elements to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement. The Business Analyst contributes to maintaining a culture of quality and regulatory adherence within the organization.The Business Analyst will ensure that products conform to the Requirements/Specifications including but not limited to OMDxe2x80x99s EMR Specification including EMR-integrated Provincial assets such as HRM, OLIS, DHDR etc. and are compliant with various ongoing obligations and expectations required for EMR Certification.This role works closely with the EMR Specifications, Integrations and EMR Vendor Management Teams. Working closely with the Manager, EMR Validation, your responsibilities will include:Lead or support validation activities to certify a product or to recognize a productxe2x80x99s alignment to other individual
specifications

  • Schedule and plan validation activities with internal and external program partners.
  • Execute validation processes.
  • Accurately document validation results, observations and establish recommendations for relevant validation activities.
  • Reporting updates with respect to the plan, risks, and timelines on validation.
  • Support communication with vendors throughout the Validation process.
  • Make recommendations for Certification as an outcome of validation.
  • Support Vendor Certification Management to ensure vendor and its OMD-certified EMR Offering remain compliant to the expectations and obligations of EMR Certification.
  • Facilitate testing with 3rd party vendors for integration with OMD products.
  • Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of the validation processes.
  • Maintain and create controlled documentation and processes for the validation lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify improvements or address issues and or risks on validation process/artefacts.
  • Understand and interpret requirements and success criteria to ensure consistency of validation evaluation.
  • Support activities to inform the development of the specifications through learnings in the engagement with vendors seeking Certification.
  • Support vendor compliance activities, for example, through validation and attestation reviews.
Additional duties may include:
  • Planning, analysis, and testing related to the Integration of Health Report Manager (HRM) and eNotifications.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements that are important to us:
  • Post-secondary education Business Administration, Health Administration and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in Ontario digital health, with an emphasis on Community Care EMR products and vendors.
  • Knowledge of Ontario EMR Specifications and OMDxe2x80x99s Core Data Set Standard preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems integration (e.g., XML, JSON, testing, etc.).
  • Experience with data health standards such as HL7 v2.X and FHIR.
  • Experience in defining and evaluating products to a set of requirements would be an asset.
  • Experience in solving complex problems with innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and with a dynamic team.
  • Demonstrate the ability to initiate, plan and execute key activities in complex project-based environment.
  • Strong knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office tools such as MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
