Position Summary:

Reporting within the Hydrogen Projects & Technology Development team, this position supports a wide variety of business improvement initiatives in alignment with ATCO Gas & Pipelines Ltd.\'s (ATCO\'s) strategic decarbonization goals and contributes to the dynamic operations of these teams at ATCO. The position will require an appreciation for and understanding of protocol, discretion, professionalism, and acceptance of responsibility. As our next Business Analyst, you will provide the team with focused, timely, and efficient assessments, reports, analytics, as well as recommended actions to increase the strategic impact of our initiatives.

What You Get to Do:

  • Provide professional support to the Hydrogen Projects and Technology Development teams through proactive development and preparation of correspondence, articles, presentations, and reports.
  • Develop, track, manage and report KPIs to monitor department performance for various Leadership Teams. Identify trends and issues where possible.
  • Assist with various projects and tasks as required, including managing presentation materials and the workflow process for effective implementation of organizational changes.
  • Provide insight on organizational change management implementation, communications, and business transition strategy.
  • Proactively assist with effective scheduling of external presentations and tours of ATCO\'s hydrogen and technology development initiatives.
  • Steward investment program initiatives funded by ATCO Gas & Pipelines, such as the Natural Gas Innovation Fund.
  • Develop summaries of technical papers and reports.
  • Develop reports for and manage relationships with government funding agencies.
  • Lead market assessments to help inform direction and focus of hydrogen and technology development needs.
  • Review and respond to technical emails and correspondence, on behalf of the Hydrogen Projects team.
  • Proactively manage and maintain an internal hydrogen SharePoint site by posting new and relevant information, and ensuring that all resources (e.g., marketing collateral, templates, technical reports) are accessible.
  • Work as a liaison between the hydrogen team and the Marketing & Communications team by coordinating all requests for communication support.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of an energy literacy campaign to educate customers and the public about energy systems in Alberta and the future potential of hydrogen and other supporting technologies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Political Sciences, Commerce or Business.
  • Exceptional customer relations skills with validated ability to establish effective partnerships.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft platforms and ability to keep current with technological change.
  • Strong financial savvy (budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance), project management, analytical and business consulting skills.
  • Process development, data analytics/data visualization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated history of applying sound judgment to make decisions.
  • Experience driving transformation, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Proven track record to identify and resolve complicated situations by applying above-average interpersonal skills to influence and engage others.
  • Strong change leadership abilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience drafting contracts, scopes of work, articles, reports, and advising others of emerging situations and trends.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, with a proven track record of completing projects on time.
  • Standout colleague with demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management within and outside the organization strategically and with ease.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of natural gas utilities, utility regulation, energy systems and hydrogen would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with Power BI would be considered an asset.
