The Role

Do you enjoy working closely with end-users, Business Analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions? Must take an interest in understanding the business functions of the end-users? Do you have experience Investigating, analyzing, developing and maintaining a strong knowledge of trading workflows, technology and market structure to ensure most streamlined approaches are implemented?

We\'re looking for a Business Analyst Specialist who ensures re-engineering of VAR (Value at Risk) / FRTB application, works closely with business to understand existing functionalities, and working closely with developers to migrate functionalities to new technology stack and write scripts for analysis, testing and regression.

Responsibilities

Successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with business and working with developers to understand existing application processes, streamlining processes within the application, consolidating and centralizing functionalities. The candidate will also be responsible for performing heavy data driven analytics and reconciliations using queries and scripts as the calculation logic in VAR/FRTB application is highly statistical and computational intensive.

Ideal candidate would be required to

  • Understand and investigate risk metric values from database and files with scripts like python, R and shell scripts.
  • Understand regulations around market risk capital and the business processes to calculate capital
  • Perform integration testing on the end-to-end application processes
  • Extract business logic by reading existing code such as java, python, and shell scripts
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of strong data analytics experience in SQL, R or Python
  • 3+ years of experience working in UNIX environments with shell (ksh/bash)
  • 5+ years of business analyst experience on software development projects
  • Hands on experience in using analytics libraries like numpy, scipy, dataframes is a plus
  • Proactive and curious to learn new technology and learn about business is a plus.
  • Masters/Bachelor\'s in computer science/Statistics/Math Related discipline.
  • Experience in capital markets/banking domain is a plus.
