CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Staff Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary Reporting to the Faculty Administrator, Business Administration and working as an integral part of the project team for a major grant, this position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing and reporting required metrics for the project. They will develop and maintain a means of gathering data using various software, tracking system usage, and conducting surveys to fulfil grant requirements. The incumbent will ensure completeness and accuracy of data by developing and executing quality assurance processes and will manage stored data to ensure security and confidentiality. They will be responsible for building and implementing a records information management schedule for the data to ensure adherence to standards set by the University of Regina as well as project requirements.
As the lead on all project reporting, this position will analyze project requirements for reporting metrics, develop and maintain a reporting system, administer reporting schedule to ensure conditions of the project will be fulfilled and provide timely updates to the project team and other stakeholders. Utilizing various sources related to the project to retrieve data, this position will generate weekly/monthly reporting on various metrics, ensuring timeliness of data collection to provide weekly/monthly reports, as well as prepare ad hoc reporting as requested, and identify options for process/system improvements. This position will facilitate, coordinate and produce executive level reports including writing and delivering the reports. They will be responsible for the analysis of reporting metrics and provide recommendations to the project team as well as assisting in the final report on the project. Position Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Computer Science, combined with 5-7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in an analyst role;
Possess and demonstrate a high level of analytical skills with the ability to understand diverse business needs;
Extensive proficiency in MS Office programs;
Demonstrated experience working with complex databases and functional IT knowledge
Superior knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques
Ability to gather, translate, and analyze data from multiple sources and apply results to develop/generate forecast or to solve reporting needs
Demonstrated superior attention to detail;
Ability to solve complex problems individually and as part of a team
Experience taking data analytics to develop and maintain complex reports in real time
Must have superior interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal);
Proven ability to successfully adapt to change;
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, project based work environment and handle multiple, concurrent and competing priorities;
Ability to work proactively and effectively under pressure to meet deadlines;
Ability to work independent with minimal supervision and as part of a team environment.
