You are an experienced software engineer who is interested in designing and developing comprehensive solutions to support and facilitate business operations. You have a strong understanding of back-end and front-end technologies and have experience implementing highly functional solutions that can scale. You have a passion for good user experience and know how to ensure user needs are met through agile development and stakeholder engagement. You are an excellent communicator, and can work with subject matter experts, graphic designers, support teams and managers to deliver professional grade solutions.

Location: The Sanofi Digital Data Team uses a hybrid working model combining remote and office-based work. The Canada Digital Data Hub offices will be located in the greater downtown area of Toronto.

Position Summary:

Within Digital R&D, the R&D Portfolio Management Product Line provides products to optimize Sanofi R&D pipeline, to support execution of R&D projects by allocating resources transparently, effectively and efficiently, and to enable decision making on cost, resources and planning.

To date, the Portfolio Continuum program has delivered a global (Pharma, Vaccines and Medical) Project management solution on Planisware SaaS to ensure project planning, resources and cost allocation foundations for R&D operations. A new datahub (Google Cloud) has been also deployed to feed current BI/Reporting/Portfolio simulation solutions.

All other standard Project management capabilities are supported through Smartsheet solution (R&D users and other function) or Project for the web fully integrated within Office 365 suite.

In this role, you will be the Digital Business Analyst for Project Management solutions of the R&D Portfolio product line.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analyst will be directly accountable and responsible to:

Work with Digital and Business stakeholders to elicit high-level requirements and capture business and end user needs; understand the customer journey, processes, data use, analysis, and quality - and define user requirements. Proactively monitor industry, functional, and technology trends.

Analyze new and existing processes and propose process improvements that can increase accuracy, efficiency, and/or value.

Communicate solution tradeoffs to business stakeholders to frame and influence project decisions.

Identify and analyze business needs and coordinate between stakeholder groups to address them.

Assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands based on business impact and Digital strategy.

Collaborate with the Product Owner, business and digital teams.

Support business case creation.

Ensure that data is managed / analyzed in compliance with applicable quality, regulatory (Data Privacy, GxP, SOX, etc.) and cybersecurity requirements.

Ensure stable PPM service to business by monitoring service quality and incident management by closely working with support team.

Manage external vendors (costs, product lifecycle,...).

Periodically have a meeting with key stakeholders to ensure service pain points and business priorities are reflected in Digital delivery plan.

Key Requirements:

Ability to understand business needs. Strong capacity to develop consistent, clear analysis and report potential issues.

Advanced Experience/Technical skills on PPM standard application as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet.

BSc/MSc diploma and/or 4+ years of experience in an IT/Digital environment.

Accountable, Proactive, Collaborative and Agile.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Action orientated with ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-moving environment.

Self-starter with excellent problem-solving ability.

Ability to multi-task, takes initiatives and prioritize effectively.

Positive team player who demonstrates collaboration and teamwork with internal and external stakeholders at all levels within the organization.

Lean and agile practice (intermediate).
