Are you a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst who thrives in complex environments? We're recruiting on behalf of a respected public-sector organization to find a professional who can bridge the gap between business operations and digital innovation.
As a Business Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in driving system and process improvements across Finance and related departments, supporting the successful implementation of a cloud-based ERP system.
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Finance, HR, Procurement, and IT to map out and evaluate existing processes
- Supporting the planning, design, and roll-out of an ERP solution and related digital tools
- Translating business needs into actionable technical requirements in collaboration with consultants and vendors
- Leading efforts to streamline, standardize, and automate processes aligned with organizational goals
- Participating in end-to-end testing, training, and documentation for new systems
- Offering guidance and support post-implementation to ensure a smooth transition and sustainable usage
What you bring:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance function, preferably in a large or complex environment
- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards and internal controls
- Demonstrated experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle), with preference for cloud-based implementation experience
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working in a hybrid environment
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion
- CPA designation or MBA (completed or in progress)
- Knowledge of CIHI-MIS guidelines or public-sector reporting
- Familiarity with process automation, AI, or RPA tools
This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity based in Ottawa. Flexibility is offered for both in-office and remote work. You'll be joining a collaborative team focused on enabling operational excellence through technology.
