Job Description

Robert Half Management Resources is the worldwide leader in specialized consulting and staffing services for senior-level accounting, finance and business systems professionals.

Our construction client is seeking a Controller for a two to three-month term. In this role you will take a lead role in a new system implementation while coaching and mentoring the accounting team.

The Controller\'s duties will include:

\xc2\xb7 Managing accounting operations including the review of journal entries, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and reporting, budgeting and forecasting

\xc2\xb7 Establishing and monitoring internal controls

\xc2\xb7 Providing advice and guidance on all accounting matters

\xc2\xb7 Generation of reports of performance against budgets

\xc2\xb7 Providing leadership on system implementations

\xc2\xb7 Other duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

\xc2\xb7 Post-secondary education in a relevant field

\xc2\xb7 Accounting designation a strong asset

\xc2\xb7 A minimum of three years in a similar role

\xc2\xb7 Strong Accounting knowledge with Manufacturing and or construction knowledge.

\xc2\xb7 Previous system implementation experience

\xc2\xb7 Previous working knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Jonas are strong assets.
