What role will you play?

Working in Centre of Excellence, Data Analytics, this position will fill a business knowledge gap within the Data Analytics team. Duties include responsibility for business specifications, ensuring alignment with existing systems and technology services for work intake items, documenting metadata requirements and interaction with our business user and technical teams.

What will you be responsible for? (Apart from Innovating)

• Provides consultation and expertise to ensure Business Requirements are documented and available for the team.
• Provides second level support to Data Analytics for technical issues ensuring the safety and soundness of our EDW.
• Provides high level information on existing technical EDW foundation and data availability that will guide formulate business requirements.
• Researches the business impact, conduct analysis, and manage Business Acceptance testing for maintenance initiatives managed by Data Analytics
• Conducts training on EDW and BI Solutions
• Seeks out new approaches, tools, methods and/or technologies to find efficiencies in cost or time
• Taps into the knowledge of internal sources, complementing with knowledge of own area of expertise

Other Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains strong relationships with business partners and internal/external team members
• This position is integral to the process of ensuring that the information being used to support the goals of our business partners is accurate, appropriate and available on a timely basis.
• This position will take direct action in identifying and recommending corrective action on information deficiencies within the data warehouse infrastructure. For those deficiencies that are data related from business processes this position will advise Data Analytics Support and Management Team with observations and where possible recommend on corrective courses of action.

What does it take for this role to be yours?

• 5 + years EDW related experience (includes: Data Integration, Business Intelligence/Analytics, Quality Assurance/Testing)
• 5+ years of experience in architecting and modeling the integration of data into an EDW
• Teradata required
• Strong communication skills at the Senior Leadership level
