to join our team in Calgary for a 12-month term. Reporting to the RPA Manager, in this role you will work directly with project stakeholders and with IT teammates acting as liaison between both groups. This will require the capability to understand and document business activities, work with business stakeholders to clarify, or define new business requirements, coordinate IT activities, and ensure training and documentation activities are completed.

Key Responsibilities
Leads medium to large-scale multi-disciplinary business process reviews for units and processes
Liaise with and develop strong working relationships with project teams, sponsors, vendors, technical staff and end users
Analyze, define and document complex business and system requirements to ensure traceability through solution design, testing and implementation
Participate in product evaluations, vendor assessments and competitions as necessary
Schedule and facilitate sessions/workshops for requirements, testing and training needs under projects
Provide problem solving and innovative solutions to organizational bottlenecks.
Identify and provide detailed tasks to inform the project schedule
Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies to the Project Manager
Facilitate meetings of various settings between Stakeholder and IT; one on one or in groups
Determine requirements-based priority and work estimates.
Proactively communicate potentially challenging recommendations

Qualifications:
University degree in a relevant field
Training or certification in business analysis (e.g., CCBA, CBAP, ECBA)
At least 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst, including software implementation work
Skilled in process improvement and documenting use cases
Proficient in Word; intermediate skills in Excel and SQL/queries
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly explain concepts
Quick to learn new tools or methods; works well under tight deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective at setting priorities and managing multiple tasks or projects at once
Able to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines
Attention to detail while keeping big-picture goals in mind
Skilled at turning business needs into practical solutions
Comfortable working with people from various technical and operational backgrounds
Can train others on systems and processes
Experienced in writing clear requirements and user stories

This is a full-time, permanent position
This position will require travel to other sites within Alberta (up to 30%)
