Accountabilities:



Leads medium to large-scale multi-disciplinary business process reviews for units and processes Liaise with and develop strong working relationships with project teams, sponsors, vendors, technical staff and end users Analyze, define and document complex business and system requirements to ensure traceability through solution design, testing and implementation Participate in product evaluations, vendor assessments and competitions as necessary Schedule and facilitate sessions/workshops for requirements, testing and training needs under projects Provide problem solving and innovative solutions to organizational bottlenecks. Identify and provide detailed tasks to inform the project schedule Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies to the Project Manager Facilitate meetings of various settings between Stakeholder and IT; one on one or in groups Determine requirements-based priority and work estimates. Proactively communicate potentially challenging recommendations Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:



University degree in a relevant field Training or certification in business analysis (e.g., CCBA, CBAP, ECBA) considered an asset At least 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst, including automation & implementation work Skilled in process improvement and documenting use cases Proficient in Word, Excel and SQL queries Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly explain concepts Quick to learn new tools or methods; works well under tight deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective at setting priorities and managing multiple tasks or projects at once Able to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines Attention to detail while keeping big-picture goals in mind Skilled at turning business needs into practical solutions Comfortable working with people from various technical and operational backgrounds Can train others on systems and processes Experienced in writing clear requirements and user stories Works well as part of a team

This is a full-time, 12-Month Term position This position will require travel to other sites within Alberta (up to 30%)
