LMCH is now actively seeking a results-driven Business Analyst to work as a member of the Capital Team reporting to the Director of Asset Renewal.

1. OVERVIEW
The position will be primarily responsible for gathering historical data and conducting data analysis for 3 key strategic initiatives (see below). This data analysis will be conducted from both conceptual and initiatives' execution feasibility perspectives. As a result, the successful candidate will have a strong background in regression and correlation analysis as a basis for trend forecasting, and will also have relevant business/financial experience in property management.
LMCH's Capital Team is currently engaged in mid-term to long-term planning and execution of 3 key strategic initiatives affecting the way in which LMCH continues to deliver excellent service to its tenants while maintaining its community obligations as a social agent/advocate for affordable housing. These 3 strategic initiatives are:
1) Facility Conditions Indexing (FCI)
a. Reassessment and updating of existing/historical FCI across all buildings and sites
b. Identifying priority needs via sound analysis of gathered data
c. Ensuring alignment with City of London Asset Management Plan
2) Green Plan
a. Assessment of past sustainability practices/projects
b. Identification of new effective sustainability initiatives that contribute to the City of London and Middlesex County GHG reduction targets
c. Ensuring alignment with City of London Climate Emergency Action Plan
3) Regeneration Plan
a. Assessment of assets for equity leveraging with a focus on growth via a sustainable business model
b. Identification of assets for divesture and/or redevelopment
c. Ensuring alignment with City of London and Middlesex County realty services goals and practices
This position is both internal customer and external stakeholder facing in support of the organization's business intelligence and analytics reporting for capital planning and execution purposes. The incumbent will act as one of the primary points of contact for interactions with consultants, subject matter experts, City of London and Middlesex County stakeholders with respect to the 3 key strategic initiatives identified. As a result, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and relevant experience in dealing with multi-layered municipal organizations.
2. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collecting and interpreting data.
Analysing data using the statistical analysis tools and techniques.
Identifying patterns and trends in data sets.
Forecasting based on patterns and trends in data sets.
Conducting sensitivity analysis on forecasts to determine potential outcomes and associated risks.
Reporting the results back to relevant stakeholders.
Working alongside teams within the organisation, external stakeholders and the management team to establish solutions to achieve the strategic goals of the organisation.
Perform detail requirements analysis and design of business systems.
Support the development and implementation of new systems and modifications to existing systems inclusive of procedures, applications, and reports.
Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of new/enhanced ERP system software, to meet user requirements according to policies, procedures, and controls, changing circumstances, and existing inefficiencies.
Identify areas of the organization's business operations that can be improved and develop workable solutions for implementation.
Develop queries and reports as per user specifications.
Ensure that change management policy and procedures are adhered to.
Assist in the transfer of skills gained through training and experience to other members of staff.
Ensure reports and/or application testing are completed according to established guidelines and that the documentation of same is maintained.
Comply with security measures and internal control procedures to minimize fraud, forgeries, and irrecoverable losses and reduce non-compliance.
Ensure that all tasks are executed in accordance with established procedures and guidelines at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
3. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & QUALIFICATIONS:
Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in Business or Engineering or related discipline.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or working towards considered an asset.
A minimum of three (3) to six (6) years of related experience is required.
Property Management experience considered an asset
Conversant in Yardi ERP Systems and industry best practices.
Experienced in the use of current personal computer technology and software, namely Windows desktop and Server operating systems, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Visio.
Organized with strong time-management skills.
Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modelling, verification, and methodology development.
Thorough Knowledge of general finance and business economics, such as estimating, budget development, financing, and leveraging equity to generate funds required. Experience in a social setting considered an asset.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-based setting with multi-disciplinary working groups.
Knowledge of current practices and program evaluation in the areas of public housing or other platforms of housing providers would be considered an asset.
Knowledge of Building Construction, Maintenance and Trade Services to effectively support maintenance of capitol budgets for maintenance, upkeep, renovation, replacement and construction of new buildings in portfolio.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written skills, and ability to persuade.
Proficiency in various Microsoft computer applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Knowledge of Yardi software is an asset.
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
Proven ability to solve complex and unique customer service problems.
Ability to identify measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance.
Must possess a valid driver's license, have access to a reliable vehicle for daily use, and carry adequate insurance.

5. POLICE RECORDS CHECK:
This position requires the successful candidate submit a current Police Records check from their local police service. A current LMCH employee who is the successful candidate for this position must also provide this document unless it is already on file and not more than one year old.
6. SALARY & BENEFITS:
Target salary range of $76,894.73 to $95,590.01. You will receive 4% in lieu of benefits and 4% vacation pay on each pay.
Normal working hours are 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday to Friday, with some work required outside of this schedule from time to time.
