As a Business Analyst, you will be a key player in developing and delivering business performance information in support of our growth strategy. Success will be achieved by working closely with vendor managers, product managers and the leadership team to deliver in depth analysis of service expenses and cost trends supporting business performance.

You must be comfortable utilizing analytical methodologies and tools as well as using strong communication skills (verbal and written) to portray your findings so they can be used in constantly evolving business decisions. Additionally, you will be required to interpret legal contracts to ensure proper tracking of contract commitments.

The successful candidate will be a strong analytical contributor and take initiative to constantly and consistently apply his/her communication, analytical, project management, and relationship skills to explain business performance in meeting the team\'s financial objectives.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Produce the analysis and reporting of monthly and quarterly operational performance metrics and drivers with the goal of enhancing business understanding and decision-making
  • Produce and communicate the operational results monthly to meet the timelines associated with operational performance cycles
  • Develop current dataset into information that can be used to report on balance of trade with partners
  • Develop ongoing trend analysis of various cost reporting for the vendor management team
  • Initiate cost reduction/cost validation projects to meet financial goals based on the findings of operational analysis
  • Support the development of strategic, account and business plans
Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of business analysis methodologies, financial reporting and business statistics
  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry, including market and regulatory dynamics
  • Knowledge continuous improvement methodologies
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate and bring to closure a significant number of initiatives simultaneously
  • Passion for excellence, strong work ethic and solutions-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment - comfortable with managing ambiguity
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build closely with multiple personality types
  • Action-oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency and ability to respond proactively to business needs
  • Ability to interact with all levels of hierarchy to enable you to obtain support on the various initiatives you will be working on
  • Display a high degree of integrity in handling confidential information
  • Proficiency with PC applications (Microsoft office applications in particular Word and PowerPoint); Above average knowledge of MS Excel required
  • Bilingual English and French, (Not mandatory, but considered an asset)
Professional Designation/Certification:

University degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent

Experience:
  • Strong MS Excel knowledge
  • Minimum 2 years of experience work with business analysis or financial analysis
  • Experience working in fast paced continually changing environment
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry considered an asset
