This position may be located in Montreal or Toronto.

Air Canada seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented analyst to join the Air Canada Marketing Operations team. The ideal candidate is responsible for bringing together the business and technical aspects of any given solution. The successful individual must be customer journey-centric, have a passion for the travel industry and for creating customer-first experiences. The individual must also be comfortable working in a high-paced, high-energy, collaborative environment focusing on a continuous product delivery model.

Key responsibilities:


  • Lead on direct marketing platform development projects and act as the business owner responsible for building product roadmaps in cooperation with the backend and technical team.

  • Develops and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write user requirements and user stories.

  • Write clear and thorough product requirements and drive delivery of end-product by leading grooming sessions, updating requirements and managing product change requests

  • Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders ranging from product owners to end-users.

  • Collaborates with project sponsors or product managers to determine each notifications scope and vision.

  • Conducts interviews to gather product requirements via use cases, scenarios, workshops/working sessions

  • Identifies and establishes scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.

  • Researches, reviews, and analyzes existing requirements-gathering processes\' effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.

  • Assists in researching products to meet agreed-upon requirements and to support development efforts.

  • Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers, business analysts, operations teams and QA.

  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements through written documentation - to IT BAs, project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders to understand issues and solutions.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree with 3+ years of business analyst or product management experience focused on marketing products.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: written and verbal

  • Proven self-starter with the ability to deliver under tight timelines and can manage different priorities at once

  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.

  • Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.

  • Experience or familiarity with working in Agile and hybrid methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills

  • Prior experience with quality assurance is a plus but not required.

  • Airline or travel industry experience is a plus but not required.

  • Coding or design experience is a plus but not required.

  • API spec development and solution design understanding.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
