Your Opportunity:

Alberta Health Services\' Connect Care Program Office team is currently looking to add a Business Analyst to its provincial team to support the Population Public Health (PPH) Team. Connect Care is a transformative provincial health care program that looks to integrate over 1300 independent systems across Alberta into one platform that will enhance patient quality care as we know it. Reporting to the Director, the Business Analyst role works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand & document the clinical and non-clinical workflows, structure, policies, and operations of AHS, and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. This involves interpreting client needs, assessing requirements and identifying solutions to non-standard issues and requests, providing advice and direction to clients, and contributing to solutions by providing input into strategy, coordination, testing and delivery for assigned projects and programs. This position within PPH will focus on the workflows of PPH Programs within Connect Care. There is flexibility as to the location of this position within the Province of Alberta. At the time of appointment the successful candidate may discuss location options with the hiring manager.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a post-secondary degree in a related field, or equivalent level of education and experience. Additional Required Qualifications:

Previous experience in a Business Analyst or equivalent role. Basic knowledge of AHS project management tools and templates. Experience with or working knowledge of Connect Care. Working knowledge of project management principles, tools and methodologies. Working knowledge of MS Office suite, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel and Visio. Basic knowledge of MS Project. Understanding of the key industry issues; using this knowledge in own work. Conceptual knowledge in own discipline and strive to enhance competency in same. Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to sit/stand for extended periods. Ability to tolerate extended computer time. Ability to lift or carry up to 15 pounds. Preferred Qualifications:

3-5 years related experience preferred (e.g., organizational change management, project management, benefits realization, clinical and non clinical workflows etc.). Experience with MS Excel, Visio, SharePoint & Tableau preferred. Proven ability to work with minimal direction. Demonstrated ability to work well within a team.
