Specific term mandate: 12 months
YOUR ROLE

  • Reporting to the Deputy Director - English Market, the incumbent contributes to the business affairs team and will have the following responsibilities:
  • Evaluate financial viability, financing, production estimate, recovery proposal, chain of title, determine risk factors and make recommendations
  • Conduct overall application reviews that focus on the due diligence of financial parties, their conformity with Telefilm Canada business policies and program guidelines.
  • Ensure the implementation of financial offer letters and financing contracts as well as the monitoring of financial commitments within the allotted time.
  • Work in a creative, complex and collaborative environment, within a multidisciplinary team.
OTHER COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS
  • University degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of pertinent experience in a similar capacity involved more specifically in financial management, and/or accounting in the audiovisual production sector.
  • Experience and knowledge of practices and regulations in film and/or television production and/or distribution are considered assets.
  • Advanced analysis, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Solid work organisation and priority setting skills to manage several active projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and knowledge of French at the BBB level an asset. For more information, see Linguistic Designation of Positions section
