Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Business Advisor on a permanent basis. We are seeking candidates located in Saskatchewan, and relocation will be considered.
In collaboration with FCL and Local Co-op leadership you will facilitate effective two-way communication, including sharing of local Co-op insights and leveraging FCL Subject Matter Experts. You will facilitate the development and sustainment of effective business relationships between FCL and local Co-op\xe2\x80\x99s Boards of Directors, General Managers, CEOs, and Senior Leadership.
This position is a hybrid opportunity and will be based across Southern Saskatchewan, travel for this role will range from 30-50%.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Business Relationship Management

• You will establish a plan for ongoing engagement with Boards of Director, General Manager, and CEOs that foster alignment with the Co-operative Retailing System\xe2\x80\x99s (CRS) vision and strategy.
• You will elevate the level of trust and credibility that exists between FCL and local Co-ops with a focus on being their Trusted Advisor.
• You will communicate effectively with FCL leadership to enhance their understanding of the local Co-op autonomy, organizational structures, and how to better relate to the retail business environment.

Local Co-op Governance & Strategic Planning

• You will provide leadership and support to the local Co-op Boards of Directors in the development and administration of effective governance policies and practices in compliance with the respective Provincial Co-op Act and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• You will provide strategic leadership, advice, and guidance to local Co-op Boards of Directors in their role in the Corporate Performance Management process in alignment with the CRS long-term vision and strategies.
• You will create awareness and understanding with local Co-op Boards of the CRS value proposition and how this relates to the long-term sustainability of local Co-ops.
• You will provide leadership and support for all aspects of local Co-op Corporate Performance Management, including strategic planning and progress reporting processes, with a focus on long term sustainability and alignment with the vision and strategies of the CRS.

Stakeholder Engagement

• You will act as a liaison between FCL and local Co-ops to facilitate effective two-way communication, including sharing of local Co-op insights and leveraging of FCL subject matter expertise.
• You will communicate and interpret CRS strategies, initiatives, and programs through regular and effective communication with local Co-op leaders.
• You will lead and support communication within FCL to create a broad understanding of the CRS landscape, business realities, and local Co-op capacities with respect to all areas of business that may influence design, implementation and execution of center led programs, products, and services.

Who you\xe2\x80\x99ll work with: The Team: Under the direction of the Associate Vice President, you will facilitate the development and sustainment of an effective business relationship between FCL and Local Co-op\xe2\x80\x99s Boards of Directors, General Managers/CEOs, and Senior Leadership teams.
The Collaborators: You will collaborate with FCL and Local Co-op leadership to facilitate effective two-way communication.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Business Relationship Management and:

• You have a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• You have relevant, progressively responsible experience, including successful General Management of retail-oriented co-operatives with diverse commodity lines operating in a competitive operating environment (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• You have demonstrated history of continual learning, as well as business relationship management with local Co-ops and governance experience.
• Prior experience as a General Manager in the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is an asset.
• Strong people leadership skills and the ability to lead through influence are critical competencies.
