A day in the life as a Business Advisor:

• You will actively manage a portfolio including recommending loans for approval, day-to-day decisions, annual reviews, and risk mitigation with a strong emphasis on business development and member retention
• You will be responsible for a portfolio of small to mid-size commercial/agricultural enterprises as well as real estate enterprises, while promoting, negotiating, and selling business-banking products and services to existing and new members
• You will interview members and potential members, gather information, determine business needs, and conduct an analysis on credit worthiness
• You will fully understand the history, goals, objectives, and status of the member's business by actively monitoring and managing the business relationship
• You will proactively assess and anticipate member's needs to identify solutions to meet those needs and the member's broader business objectives
• You will foster long term member relationships through consistent follow-up to cross-sell credit union products and services as well provide referrals to other business partners within the organization

What you bring to the table:

• Post-secondary education is required, a diploma in Agribusiness/Business Administration is preferred
• Three to five years of banking experience is expected; commercial banking experience is considered an asset
• A combination of education and experience may be considered
