You will actively manage a portfolio including recommending loans for approval, day-to-day decisions, annual reviews, and risk mitigation with a strong emphasis on business development and member retention
You will be responsible for a portfolio of small to mid-size commercial/agricultural enterprises as well as real estate enterprises, while promoting, negotiating, and selling business-banking products and services to existing and new members
You will interview members and potential members, gather information, determine business needs, and conduct an analysis on credit worthiness
You will fully understand the history, goals, objectives, and status of the member's business by actively monitoring and managing the business relationship
You will proactively assess and anticipate member's needs to identify solutions to meet those needs and the member's broader business objectives
You will foster long term member relationships through consistent follow-up to cross-sell credit union products and services as well provide referrals to other business partners within the organization
What you bring to the table:
Post-secondary education is required, a diploma in Agribusiness/Business Administration is preferred
Three to five years of banking experience is expected; commercial banking experience is considered an asset
A combination of education and experience may be considered
