The Entrepreneurial Investments team provides coaching, capital, and networking to Alberta small and medium size technology-based high potential companies (entrepreneurs) in Alberta. Reporting to the Director, Capital Access, the incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • Providing support in implementing strategic and business plans by conducting environmental scans, compiling data related to research, and making recommendations based on insights gathered
  • Assisting in planning and delivering seminars, open houses, workshops, outreach activities, and other special events in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting initiatives to establish seamless file storage and retrieval on Microsoft SharePoint
  • Developing presentation slides and graphics to support data visualization, research, reporting, and on-going program/project activities
  • Assisting in developing concept memos, presentation slides, and other design documents to support socialization and approval of strategic initiatives
  • Providing on-going support to Program Managers across the Investments team
  • Other project support as required
Qualifications:
  • Entering the final year of, or a recent graduate from a University Bachelor or Graduate degree. Bachelor of Business Administration, Commerce, Science or MBA preferred
  • Other applicable work experience to demonstrate your ability to perform the job
  • Previous experience working in market research, business, or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, summarize, and present findings from various data sets
  • Strong analysis, communication, and writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment

Additional Information
