Schools Bus Driver Job Opportunity

BC Muslim Schools -- Richmond and Surrey Locations

The BC Muslim Schools are looking for 4 experienced bus drivers to join the Schools' transportations team in Surrey and Richmond locations. The areas to cover, for picking up and dropping off the students, include Vancouver, Surrey, Delta, Richmond and Burnaby, based on the schedule provided from Monday to Friday.

Job types: Part-time and Permanent

Contract length: 12 months and with renewable option

Part-time: 5 hours per day (Monday to Friday)

Salary: $30.90 per hour

Responsibilities:

Being attentive to traffic and weather conditions and ensuring passenger safety Following the planned route and schedule for departure times and stops Regularly checking vehicle safety such as tires, brakes, turn signals and mechanical equipment Keep the bus clean Transport children and other passengers to and from school Obey all traffic laws to ensure students arrive to their destination safely Maintain a clean bus at all times Ensure the safety of all students when entering and leaving the bus Assist students with getting on and off the bus as needed Engage with students as they enter and leave the bus Call parents to let them know the pick up and drop off times

Requirements:

Valid Class 1 or 2) driver's license. 5-year driver's abstract records. Minimum of one year commercial driving experience (similar to a school bus driving role is preferred). Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five year. Ability to carry out assigned route on time
