Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of groups and crews, while providing excellent customer service. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to educate passengers on safety protocols.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties to be performed will include but are not limited to the following:

Drive buses or units to transport passengers along established routes to destinations. Drive buses to transport passengers Ensure passenger safety when boarding and leaving buses and crossing the street while bus is stopped. Offer courteous, friendly service to passengers. Tidying of the bus as required, fueling. Drive buses and aid passengers in boarding. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Communicate with passengers, dispatchers, or other drivers using two-way radio systems when required. Report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents. Ensure passenger safety and welfare in emergencies, and direct passengers during evacuation procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport groups and crews to and from designated locations. Adhere to designated routes and schedules. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service. Comply with all transportation regulations and company policies. Ensure accurate and timely ELD logging to comply with regulatory requirements and monitor driving hours.

Qualifications:

Orientation, on-job route training, Drug Alcohol testing for some positions. Clean drivers abstract. Bus drivers require a Minimum Class 2 driver's licence with air brake endorsement. Valid bus driving license with a clean driving record. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle. Ability to write reports and communicate effectively with team members and passengers. A commitment to safety and the ability to educate others on safe practices. Ability to work 8 to 10-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, day and night shift.
