Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of passengers, including children and seniors, while providing excellent customer service. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle various situations with professionalism and care.

Duties

Safely operate a bus to transport passengers to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Assist passengers, including children and seniors, in boarding and disembarking the bus safely. Maintain a clean and organized bus interior for passenger comfort. Communicate effectively with passengers regarding routes, schedules, and any changes that may occur during transit. Manage any issues that arise during transportation with patience and professionalism. Keep accurate records of daily routes, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during shifts.

Skills

Experience working with children or in senior care environments is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all passengers. Commercial driving experience is required, along with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact clearly with passengers and team members. Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle inspections and address minor issues as needed. Teaching skills may be beneficial for guiding younger passengers on safety protocols while traveling.
